Alzheimer's testThe LymPro Test® and Early
Alzheimer’s Disease Detection

More than 600,000 Americans are diagnosed each year with chronic, progressive dementia, and of those, 400,000 are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. However, currently accepted methods for diagnosing Alzheimer’s are complicated, expensive, inconclusive and time-consuming - often taking as long as 24 months.1

The need for a simple, accurate test has never been greater. Provista Life Sciences is meeting that need with the LymPro Test, a blood test that is designed to work in conjunction with doctors’ other diagnostic methods.

By assisting in the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease , the LymPro Test has the potential to help doctors diagnose the disease more efficiently. This will allow patients to begin treatment early, when currently approved drugs are most effective at slowing the disease’s progression.

Under development by Provista Diagnostics, the laboratory services division of Provista Life Sciences, the LymPro Test is currently involved in a National Institutes of Health Phase II Study that will be completed in the spring of 2008.

If you or a loved one are at risk for Alzheimer’s, the LymPro Test may be an important step in getting a timely, accurate diagnosis. Learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and the science behind the LymPro Test with the links below, and ask your doctor if the LymPro Test is right for you.
